Two stalwarts of the Inspection Department retired recently after long service.
They were (left) CHARLIE JOHNSON (68). of Tile Hill body inspection, and (right) BILL BAKER (68), previously at Tile Hill but who moved to the Assembly Hall, Canley. Both inspectors had long service.
On behalf of their colleagues, Roy Smith, Deputy Chief Inspector, Assembly Hall, presented a sum of money to each and thanked them for their good services. Both retirees intend to remain in Coventry, and Bill Baker has a caravan towed by his Austin Maxi, while Charlie Johnson will spend his leisure in garden and handicraft work.
