• Alf Welch – Service Instructor in Market Promotion and Training - On the first anniversary of the launch of this website archive we thought we’d write something about Alf Welch.
• NEW – Alick Dick to Resign - Mr A. S. Dick. Managing Director of Standard Triumph International since 1954, is to resign from the company, according to a statement from Leyland Motors this week.
• Telephone Exchange Staff - Three members of staff from the Telephone Exchange, Canley.
• NEW – E Knight – Chairman of the Standard Apprentice Association - In appreciation of his 12 years valuable and useful service as Chairman of the Standard Apprentice Association, Mr E. Knight who retired last March was presented with a suitably inscribed Silver Cigarette Case at a recent Committee Meeting.
• NEW – Standard Van - Months before July this year Mr P. J. McGrath, a millwright at Tile Hill Lane, had decided on a holiday in Italy.
• Bob Hope - Bob Hope at leaving Standard Triumph in 1954.
• Holiday Camp – Weston-super-Mare Pt1 - A scheme which is being organised by The Standard Motor Company Ltd. Recreation Club Committee will undoubtedly go far to solve many of the employees’ holiday problems. An attractive seven acre field site has been acquired at Weston-super-Mare from the middle of July to the end of August.
• NEW- Tony Stringer – Service Mechanic, Allesley - Tony Stringer, a Nuneaton man, is the service mechanic from Allesley Depot travelling with the TR4 American Rally in Europe.
• NEW- Triumph Spitfire Line - From the Peter Richardson archive, a fabulous photo showing the Spitfire line.
• NEW- Pauline McGonigle, Allesley - Miss Pauline McGonigle, a typist in the Audio Pool for five years at Allesley, married Steven Hill, who works in the Engine Shop, Canley.
• Archie W. Neal – Factory Visits Supervisor - Archie W. Neal – Factory Visits Supervisor.
• Percy Dolby – CKD - Percy Dolby, a fitter in engine strip section, C.K.D., Canley, left for New Zealand with his wife, last month, after 21 years with Standard Triumph.
• Arthur Page - I have come across the Standard Motor site with a reference to the fire brigade, but I have got stuck and wonder if you could help me, please.
• Maurice Elliott - I would like to share my experiences working at Standard Triumph during the 1960’s. It was an excellent decade of learning and ease of travel. Plus good music to dance to!
• Bart Turnbull – Service Manager - The Standard Motor Company Limited announce that Mr. B. Turnbull, Service Manager, has decided to retire at the 31st December, 1952, after 32 years service with the Company.

• Jimmy Gould – Machine Shop - Many employees and ex-employees will remember Jimmy Gould, who has recently retired after thirty five years service.
• Cricket – Ladies Team c1950 - Ahh such a shame we only have a small reference to this fabulous photo.

• Physical Culture Club - With very little to go on this first photo – amazingly another is found that offers more detail.
• Ferguson – 20,000th Tractor - The 20,000th Standard Built Ferguson Tractor came off the assembly lines at Banner Lane recently. It is seen, with others, being driven by a group of youthful employees under the eagle eye of Mr C. Wright, Foreman of the assembly line.
• The Last Triumph Spitfire - Ted Stanley of Barwell, Warwickshire used to work on the Spitfire production line and actually appears in the photo taken of the last Spitfire off the production line.
• Malcolm Dunn – Planning Engineer - I started work at the Apprentice Training School, Torrington Avenue, Tile Hill, Coventry as a Technical Apprentice / Draughtsman on 26 August 1968.
• Apprentices Initiative Test – 1963 - An Initiative Test for apprentices was organized in 1963. The object of the exercise was to see who could travel furthest from Coventry, with a maximum of ten shillings to spend, and also get back within the allocated time.
