TR Factory Production Line

A series of photographs taken on the TR production lines. Camera’s were banned in the factory for workers. These fabulous colour photographs were taken during one of the many visitors tours. Cops and Robbers!

On Thursday, 17th July, 1952 Mr. C. J. Hazell, a gang tester in The Standard Motor Co. Ltd’s works at Park Royal, London, N.W.10, was testing a car near the factory when he noticed a crowd at the corner of a street. Continue reading “Cops and Robbers!”

Hubert Lawrence

HUBERT LAWRENCE, a chargehand in the Toolroom, Radford factory, retired recently after 51 years and 10 months with the Company. This is one of our longest service records. Hubert started as an indentured machinist and fitter in 1919. Continue reading “Hubert Lawrence”
