Hello John Edwards here, I worked in the Standards Room at Fletch South.
John Riman was foreman when I started in Feb 1972. I learnt a lot of my Metrology from Ray Denny, Eddie Chadwick, John Onions and Ken Probert. Transferred to the BL Tech Metrology Centre near Fletch North when it opened until I left in August 1982.
My Grandad, my dad Bill, my Uncle Len, my older brother and various other relatives all worked there. A family company in those days.
Always remember the Christmas parties at the Standard Cinema we went to as kids.
