Transport Dept. Stalwarts

During the 1939-45 War, Albert and Billy were engaged in delivering vital aircraft parts from our Coventry works to depots in Carlisle, Bristol, London, etc., under the auspices of the Ministry of Aircraft Production. They were a small link in the big build-up of aircraft production which helped Britain in her darkest hour. Despite the black-out, bombs, and machine-gunning from the air, they always got through with their loads and delivered the vital parts. Thus the Coventry Kids were able to help retaliate against an enemy who had despoiled their city.
